Rocket’s First Blog Post

Before you get too involved in this post, you need to know that me, Rocket, is writing this post.  That’s my picture above.  (I need a nail trim, so you may see a few typos. Pweese forgive me.)  Mom said she was tired of trying to come up with a new post every day.  She said that it was MY turn if I wanted to see somfim’ new posted.  So, here I am!  Challenge accepted!

I had a different mommy until I was 2, when my Now Mom brought me home. Gasp! I KNOW!!  It’s hard for me to believe too!!  Cuz I LOVE Mommy!  I’m almost 7 now. Mom and i have an exciting life and we have fun!

I’m Mommy’s Office Assistant at work.  I work 3 or 4 days a week.  It’s my job on those days to decide what to have for lunch!  I pick CHICKEN!! I have chicken for lunch a lot, along with my kibble.  Mom always lets me help with cleaning the dishes. Yum! Another of my duties is  to patrol the property and keep any those nasty squirrels or pesky birds off the property.  So, I guess I also  provide Security to the company!  🙂

Mom and I go for a walk almost every day.  Some days she walks for a loooong time!  I think she forgets how short my legs are!

Mom spends a lot of time plucking away at her laptop.  Sometimes she will read to me what she writes.  I try to tell her that she needs more fur and canine-focused posts, but she a little funny about my input on her writing! Humpfh!

Sometimes I stay home when Mommy leaves.  😦  I wait and wait for her to come home.  …sigh.  Some days, she will leave the TV on for me so I can watch old movies when she’s gone.  I don’t always know where she goes, but boy, I’m glad when she gets home!!  I can’t help myself! I know I get a little carried away. I run around all excited to see her because it’s just been SO long!  She IS my mommy and I love and miss her SO much!  🙂

Most of the time, you will find me snuggled up next to my mom on the couch.  At night, I sleep with her on this Really Big bed.

I know my post isn’t as good as my mom’s but I wanted to help her out today.  I hope you enjoy reeeding what she writes.  I think she really likes to do it, because she does it a lot!

Well, bye now!  Typing id HARD!!  Maybe I’ll write more for my mom sumday.  Until then, Ciao!

  3. Walter sends Rocket a big slobbery kiss! Not too slobbery though because little Rocket could drown. Walter is VERY slobbery. Tell Rocket not to worry even though he’s snack-sized for Walter. Walter LOVES small dogs and cats, too. He loves to chase them sometimes so Rocket had better keep up his training sessions with that in mind. 😉 ❤️ 🐾 ❤️

    1. Awww, thank you Linda & Walter! Rocket has 2 girlfriends that aren’t as big as Walter, but they are BIG in comparison to him, so he likes big dogs too! I will pass along Walter’s good wishes to Rocket. Thanks Linda! ❤ ❤ 🙂
