Footprints-Something Fishy #writephoto

Looking behind her, she saw her footprints.  She cocked her head, studying them.  They looked so odd to her.  She smiled and bent over to pull her shoes off.  “At least that’s a little better!”  She thought to herself.

Continuing toward the water, she inhaled the sea air.  She felt invigorated.  She shucked off her shorts and top and jogged the last few yards to the water’s edge.  With a giggle of wild glee, she plunged into the surf.

About a quarter mile off shore, she finally surfaced.  She was looking back at the beach.  After a moment of contemplation, she thought “It was fun for a little while, but it’s good to be going home again.” and with a flip of her tail, she dove toward the depths to begin the journey home.

  1. Wow! I loved this! What a great twist at the ending – although “About a quarter mile off shore, she finally surfaced.” provided a tiny tip off! Haa! Bravo, Penny, Bravo!
