Summer Memories

Kisses tasting
of honeysuckle
under a sky
of brilliant blue

Time stood still
with you
The day stretching
to infinity

Tomorrow
as distant as the sun
caressing
our bronzed skin

Summer memories

Hot-Weather Tips for Visitors to Texas — Biff Sock Pow

I live in Fort Worth, Texas and it has been horribly hot here lately.  I’ve thought about writing about it, but after I saw Biff’s post, I knew I couldn’t top it.  Please enjoy his post and be sure to look over his blog while you are there.  It’s well worth the visit!

It looks like it’s going to be another scorcher today here in Texas. Which, is pretty much like saying, “It looks like the sun will be coming up again today.” A few days ago when I was driving home from work, the outside temperature (according to my car’s temperature display) was 108 degrees […]

Dusk at the Lake

Dusk at the lake.

I pick cattails and

think of summers

Spent with you.

Lazy days and

Memorable nights.

Sunsets of youth

And angst of desires

Yet undefined.

Just Another Rambling Post

1937-Wheat-Penny-Front-Back

Hello all and Happy Wednesday! Summer has finally come to Texas and with a vengeance!  It’s been in the 90’s for a while with no end in sight.  The LOWS have been in the upper 70’s!!   At least some of the people here that have had SO much rain, they can finally get dried out!

I’m going to have a long 4th of July weekend and I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do with the time off.  I know, I know.  Write!

I have just been itching to get the heck out of Dodge.  But when I look at different places and the price of Motel rooms, I’d rather stay home and sleep in my own bed!

I’m getting along with the story I mentioned in my last post.  I’ve got a few logistic problems solved, so I can progress.  YAY!  Fun!!

Happy Scribbling all!  🙂
