Good News Friday

It’s Good News Friday again. Happy Friday!

With all of the bad news we are exposed to every day, I want to share a bit of good news with you.  THIS is a story about some policemen that rescued a lost teddy bear for an autistic child.  So sweet.

If you have a Good News Story that you would like to share, drop the info in the comments below.

As always, thank you for joining me on this journey. ❤ Penny

Good News Friday Challenge! #trashtag

This is a Challenge to each of you to come up with Just One POSITIVE news story that you’ve seen or heard recently.  If you don’t watch the news, then share an uplifting, positive quote or post!  I think that it’s high time that we all make the effort to see the Good and to see the Positive that happens in our lives every day!  There is so much negativity in our lives that we must Stop and LOOK for the good things!

If you would like to participate in this challenge, please leave your comments below with a link to the post or news story that you’ve found or done.  If you do not watch the news, share a positive quote you seen or heard or share a lovely photo!  YOU decide what is positive and Good News!  While you’re here, please share and check out other people’s posts.

Let’s all share something GOOD today!

I would like to make this a weekly challenge.  It will depend on the amount of interest there is, of course.  I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful, positive things you all come up with!  ❤  ❤  ❤

I am SO excited about the Good News story that I found for today!  Looking at the picture above, you can see the before and after effects of one person taking on the challenge of #trashtag !! This is a movement to take an area with litter, take a photo of it, then take another photo of it after you’ve done something about it!  Incredible!

HERE is the link to this amazing story!  Will YOU take up this challenge?

I have a couple of Good News pieces today.  First, please be sure to check out this sweet, touching post over at A Teacher’s Reflections about a Mr. Rogers book and the man’s gentle wisdom.  You can find that post HERE.

The other little bit of Good News that I have today is to share with you the fact that today is my Birthday!! I seriously never thought that I would live this long!  Historically speaking, the women in my family do not live long lives.  I’m very healthy and take kinda-sorta good care of myself, so maybe I’ll be the exception.

Yesterday was a lovely day at work.  I love my job and the people that I work with.  From my work family I received several birthday cards and a Gorgeous bouquet of flowers.  See the picture above and the one below.

Today I am taking the day off from work and I’m going to spend the day with my sweet brother and sister-in-law.  There’s no better gift than spending time with those you love!

I hope you all have had a good week and can share some Good News stories with us.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!  ❤  Penny

Friday Good News!

There is a high school in McKinney, Texas that has an aviation program that helps students not only learn about aviation but in their senior year, they also get to help BUILD an airplane!  These students work on getting their pilot’s licenses while they are learning.

This is a 4-year program that allows Freshmen to enroll and begin their journey into the fascinating world of aviation.

If you would like to learn more about this amazing program, you can find you about it HERE.
