Guest in Jest #68 Penny Wilson Writes

My dear friend, Linda has made me a “Guest in Jest”! She posted a little something that I did for this time of year. Be sure to spend some time on her lovely blog! Thank you Linda!

Everyone Else Has the Best Titles

Twisted Spell

She studied lore and craft

Her heart’s desire to obtain.

She used bat’s wings and chants

And even a little wolfbane.

She locked him in a cage

And cast spells on him each night.

She summoned demons and beasts

And trolls by moonlight.

She took flight with Count Dracula

To learn of his secrets.

Nothing she tried seemed to work

Was this man her weakness?

Finally, defeated

She turned him loose one day.

She said “although I love you

You must be on your way”.

“Your love is what I’ve desired

But it can’t be earned like this.

Before you leave my home

Would you grant me just one kiss?”

He looked at her with kindness

And took her hand with care.

He pulled her close and kissed her

And then he gave her such a glare.

“Although I’ve kissed your lips most foul

I justify

what my heart

desires

The anticipation,

an aphrodisiac

Your scent,

intoxicating

Drunk with yearning

You tempt me

again

and again

Not forbidden

but remorse

pangs me

As your sweet

morsels pass my

lips

Angel and demon,

Chocolate

You have taken

me

yet again.

Weekend With Rocket

Those of you that have followed my blog for any length of time, more than likely have seen a post about Rocket, pictured above.  Rocket is now 7 years old.  After Many exhausting hours of training, I am now trained to His Majesty’s preferences.

Rocket does not care what day of the week it is.  I have pretty much given up on the idea of ever sleeping late again.  And sleeping through the night?  Nope.  I couldn’t tell you the last time that happened!

But despite it all, I wouldn’t trade Rocket for anything.  Could YOU say No to this face?

The Trials and Tribulations of Having Curly Hair.

MEMEMEMEMEME!! Omg, this is SO me!! I wonder if Joann is secretly a twin that I never met! A talented writer and extremely funny gal! Enjoy! ❤

Some Words That Say What I Think

I have thick, unruly, frizz-ridden, curly hair.

As a result, pretty much every day of my life has been a bad hair day.

Deep down, I know that my hair has massive potential and I have spent my entire life trying to figure out how to style it in a way that expresses its true beauty.

Unfortunately, I still have absolutely no idea how to control it.

My hair is at its most tame directly after I step out of the shower.

However, as my hair begins to dry, it starts to rebel.

HairIt has visions of a new better future for itself – a future in which it will rise up into a set of full, luscious, voluminous curls.

HairUnfortunately, by the time my hair has fully dried, this rebellion has deteriorated into something that it never intended or planned for.

HairIn my teenage years, I had a brief…

Spamalicious!

Ah, Spam.  Yummy and filling but when it comes in the form of comments, it can be pretty annoying.  This is my way of having a little fun with it.  I haven’t had much good, usable spam lately, but below are some that have come in recently.  My comments are in Bold.  I hope you enjoy.  🙂

Wow! At last I got a webpage from where I can actually take helpful information regarding my study and knowledge.  heehee! this was in response to a rather scary little story.  I wonder what “knowledge” this person has!  🙂

Boy! This guy was a jerk! I guess that spammers are not just annoying.  The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention. wow… This was a comment about a post on redesigning my blog.

thx I needed to know this From a lazy spammer I guess! 🙂  This is a response to a rather sad little prose/story I wrote.

An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post! wow… I’m glad I was able to help this person out.  I’m glad that he “feels strongly about it”!  But I have no idea when I will “become expertise” on this.  This odd response was regarding a post I did about updating the look of my blog.  🙂

Spammy Spam!

*A humorous look at some Spam I’ve received recently.  Enjoy! 🙂

I’m making this tonight. Adding asparagus, quinoa and maybe hard boiled eggs just because. Can’t wait… looks so yummy!!! This was a comment for a touching story of a family’s pet cat.  Are they saying that the cat looks yummy!! Eeeek!! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!

These next few comments are all sports related.  They were commenting on a post I did that updated you about my sprained wrist.  With LeBron James opting out of his contract that will allow him to sign a higher priced contract fo. Then this one: Ervin SantanaLike Luis Severino, Ervin Santana only had one start against the Yankees this season.  And:  James may need to play the entire game in this series. I ended up getting a LOT of Spam over this post, all of them sports related.  I went in and changed my Tags, so hopefully that will remedy that situation.

An good article. Maybe it will help me in nearby future. This was left in response to a hilarious story that I had reblogged.  It was left by something called Host Bizarre.  Bizarre, indeed! 🙂

Yummy Yummy SPAM! :)

* Oh, yummy, yummy Spam.  We all get it.  We all deal with it.  This is my way of having some fun with it.  Below are some Spam comments I’ve received recently.  I’ve copied and pasted them exactly as they appear.  My comments about them are in BOLD.

Make Those Books Work!

So what do we do with All those Books?  You know what I’m talking about.  There are the ones on the nightstand (like in the picture above) that are waiting to be read.  There are the ones on the book shelf shelf that need to be read, or they are too precious to turn loose.  Then there are the ones that we need to pass along, donate or whatever, but we have not gotten around to doing this.  So what do we do with all of these?  I say PUT THEM TO WORK!
