A Different Outcome

I keep looking
for a different
outcome
to my past

My heart doesn't
understand
the memories
I relive

The self inflicted
punishments
don't resolve
anything

I shake my head
in disbelief

I'm taught
I'm forgiven

If He can forgive
why can't I

      1. I follow hundreds of blogs. More than I can possibly keep up with. I decided that I can only follow more new blogs if I feel that something that I read on their blog strikes me as extraordinary with subject matter that I want to follow. Sorry.

  1. This is a lovely poem, Penny. I can feel the sadness in your words. I hope you’re okay. However, I’m aware that I tend to think my blogging friends are referring to themselves and their feelings in their writing like I do, but poetry, in particular, doesn’t have to be directly about that person. Forgive me if I have assumed wrongly. Hugs Xx 🤗💕
