The Price Paid

I learned of
broken wings
and broken dreams

the human
most coveted

left deepest
of scars

when I write
my muse whispers
of yesterdays

my heart
the path unearthed

the price
for love

  1. Wow, Penny!! Awesome poem!! Loved it – especially the lines:
    I learned of
    broken wings
    and broken dreams . . . .

    when I write
    my muse whispers
    of yesterdays

So Happy to see all your new posts!!
