Until You

To lay my heart
on the line
again

was something
I wouldn't have
imagined

until you

Footfalls echo
on empty floors
and empty walls

Empty halls
that once rang
with our laughter

Only the reverberation
of my heartbeat
now loud and clear

The result of
taking the risk
