Behind Her Eyes

There's a story

you can see the

the sorrow
the yesterdays

too painful
to talk about

just behind
her eyes

  1. So very true…we may first see someone’s smile, but the eyes express more 💞💞💞 Beautifully written, Penny! 💞

  2. What an insightful poem in such sparse words. This is haunting and, oh, so revealing. What’s that quote? “Eyes are the window to the soul.” Maybe I’m not remembering correcting. No matter, I really like this poem, Penny.
