Distance won't separate
our hearts
the bond is
too strong
Our history
connects us
as bones
connect limbs
Tethered
always

Penny, this poem fits my thoughts right now in the missing of my son, whom I haven’t seen since Christmas. Yesterday I cried for missing him. Your words speak to me. Thought physically distanced, we remain tethered, not only via history, but also via bones… Thank you for this poem.
