Gentle Heart


A compassionate
soul 

a gentle 
heart 

ever so softly

quietly

stole 
into my heart 

with kind words
and tender moments
shared

fences
crumbled

wings
once again
unfurled 

I dare 
once more 
to envision
tomorrow
