To listen to my heartbeat and feel my lungs fill with air. To have nothing I have to do no place I'm expected to be. I want to listen to the quiet. The noise of this world has grown and I cannot endure much more. I wish to listen as the stars find their path across the sky. I want to watch the morning dew dissipate with the rise of the sun. The sound of songbirds is enough for me. Copyright 2020 Penny Wilson

Hello dear Penny. I enjoyed your poetry this morning. I love the song of the birds in the early morning.

It is interesting that you should write about noise and the irritation factor. Every morning when I hang out my washing before leaving for work, I am taken aback by the level of noise in my suburb. It was so quiet during the lockdowns and that was the one positive for me. No noise pollution.

Now that I live in the country, that is one of the best things about being there. Thanks, Robbie. π
