Shadow

*Another collaborative effort with my friend Chuck over at The Reluctant PoetI hope you enjoy our efforts.
Just out of reach
a shadow of you
follows me
during my days

My nights are spent
in longing

Reliving those tender moments
and memories of us

Your shadow proves
you are always near

It gives me hope and comfort
to still feel your love
in my heart

As you keep your promise
to watch over me
