Like a fool
I let you in
I forgot the taste
of your poison
I drank it down
eagerly
My heart in the line
of fire
At this distance
I thought I was safe
Not so
My heart should
listen to my head
Your poison still
cuts as deep
as ever
Never again

I could have written this myself. Ugh, no more poison.
