Hope

Some days

Hope

is too
burdensome
an idea

Existence
is thick
and fat

This endeavor
cumbersome
oppressive

With clouded psyche
and trembling fingers

I tuck
a sliver of
hope
in a pocket

Optimism
saved away
for tomorrow

Belief

A piece of it
shining
beckoning
to light my way

*This piece is something that I've been kicking around for a
while. I keep coming back to it, tweaking it. I'm not sure
that it conveys what I was trying to express, but
regardless, I hope you enjoyed it. Penny <3
