Heart’s Desire

I justify
what my heart
desires

The anticipation
an aphrodisiac

Your scent
intoxicating

Drunk with yearning
You tempt me

again
and again

Not forbidden

but remorse
pangs me

As your sweetness
passes my
lips

Angel and demon

Chocolate

You have taken
me

yet again

  1. I love this so much Penny!!!! Such a wonderfully sensuous verse with a delightful, surprise twist!!!
They say chocolate is like sex. If you’ve never had it, you never miss it, but once you’ve had it – you miss it!!!
