Got Spam??

Ah, Spam.  Yummy and filling, but not always a good thing when it’s cluttering up your mailbox!

I’ve done several posts on humorous spam that I’ve received.  Those of you that are new to following me can find some of these HERE, HERE & HERE.  Lately, I’ve received very few spam comments.  On one hand, this is a good thing.  But if you’re trying to write about spam, it doesn’t give you much to work with!

So I’m going to throw this out there to you.  Check your spam folder and share with us your most comical spam comment!  I’ve had some real winners.

Do you get much spam?

  1. I’ll play along. Well, someone named “sex” commented, “If you are going for finest contents like myself, simply visit this web page all the time because it gives feature contents”. Since my blog is rarely above G rated, I guess sex really is more interested in the articles…

And then there was this: “percentage wee communicate extra approximately your post on AOL?” OK, I’m not sure what we communicated, but I think this person took a wrong turn at the intersection of 1995 and 1996 since I don’t know if anyone has any percentage on AOL since then… And talking about “wee” on a G rated blog!

“Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?” Since this was a comment on a 2000 word story, was the person being sarcastic?

“This is my first comment here” – this was in the middle of a string of a dozen comments by the same person (the above sarcastic comment was another). So, first? I guess this person doesn’t know how to count…

“I will immediately grasp your rss as” – please, this is a family blog!

Wow, “sex” was back and said “After looking into a few of the blog articles on your web page, I seriously like your technique of writing”. Seems odd, but perhaps sex likes me more than I like sex. Nah 😉

OK, I just found a real comment in the spam folder, so with that I will leave your comment section alone 🙂
