Unstable Realm

I take the words
and set them aside

My prized cache

I sometimes file them
neatly

Other days
they blend and fade

Dissolving

A brief glimpse

They tantalize
with only
hints of what they
can become

I keep the case locked
guard them
hoard them

Their opaque
existence
an unstable realm

*Words and phrases become treasures hoarded.  Seedlings for
future poetry, writings.  These are so fleeting.  If I don’t
immediately write them down, they are usually lost, gone forever.
