Cleansing

Clouds
dark
foreboding

Fat
and heavy with rain

Thunder
rumbles a threat

Deep inside
my chest

Electricity
in my marrow

A scream
of lightening
sets the sky
ablaze

Eyes turn
to the heavens

The sky
weeps tears

Engorged sky
spills over
salty and hot

Pray for
cleansing

Deliverance

A torrent
washes over me
