Kitchen Cleanup

I woke up to 27 degrees and freezing rain this morning!  So while I was waiting for the roads to clear, I finally got the cabinet in the picture above out of my living room!

This is an update on the post that I did yesterday about this cabinet and a Weekly Smile prompt from Trent.  If you’d like to read it, you can find it HERE.

Having a couple of hours to kill before I could drive to work, I couldn’t stand having that cabinet sitting in my living room any longer.  So I set to work cleaning off the eyesore of a shelving unit in my kitchen.  The eyesore in the picture below.  🙂

I had to free up this space before I could move my cabinet in.  You can see what a cluttered mess it turned into!

So after emptying the shelves and finding room for it in a spare bedroom, I then slid the cabinet into place.  The fit was perfect.  BUT, this meant I now had to find a place for everything that came off of that metal shelf!

This was no easy task.  I had to do some major rearranging of my dishes to make everything fit, but I did it.  A couple of things ended up in the garage.  I think I only use my George Forman grill once a year. 🙂

I think that all of the effort was worth it.  Below is what the space looks like now.

I’m MUCH happier with the look of the space now!  I don’t know how long it will STAY looking this nice.  We will see.

Thank you for joining me on this journey! ❤ Penny
