Growth

I must breathe

I reach for the sunlight
but your cloying presence
blocks the light

Choking

Your immersion
well intended
reassuring yourself

My pledge
falls
on deaf ears

Love must be
nurtured

To grow

Love must be nurtured. Absolute truth here.

It may be painful at first, but the growing process will reward the person who longs for it.
