Since the purchase of my house, I’ve amassed more tools than I ever thought I would want or need.ย I’ve got a good cordless drill, a decent set of drill bits, a socket set, screwdrivers of all sizes, pliers, hammers, channel locks, needle nose pliers, etc, etc.ย The list goes on… and on.ย ย
BUT when faced with a situation where the toolbox is not conveniently close at hand, the first thing I reach for is a table knife.ย ย
This is the perfect Multi-Use Tool.ย ย
I thought about this fact just this morning while using a knife to pry open a cardboard box.ย The knife worked great and my fingernails are all still intact.ย ๐
Think about it.ย The table knife can be used in SO many instances!ย ย
I’ve used the knife for a digging implement.ย I’ve used one as a pry bar to pry open a door.ย A heavy handled one is great for hammering a small nail into the wall or spreading spackle to cover up a nail hole.ย The knife can often be used as a screwdriver.ย ย
This little miracle invention can scrape, cut, dig, pry, spread, screw, and even help feed you dinner!ย What a marvel!ย ย
*Do you have an unconventional tool that you use?ย ย

Delightful to know I’m not the only one to do this! I used mine more for scraping, but also as a screwdriver and the occasional hammer.

And the best thing yet, if you get caught bringing into the prisoner you are helping, you have a great excuse: tool? it is just silverware so he can eat the cake I baked it into! ๐

When you said it was an all purpose tool, the first thing I thought of was prison escape. I guess ti shows you why I am a writer instead of a law enforcement officer ๐

Now there’s a creative blogger to turn a common knife into and interesting and thoughtful post. Kudos, Penny.
