Fate Decides??

I get a little tired of people telling me things like “I guess it’s just not meant to be”  or  “It will happen when the time is right”  or  “it’s not your destiny”

I just cannot wrap my head around that.  I think that if I had chosen to go left at that fork in the road instead of right, my life would be different.  I DO believe in a Higher Power.  But I also think we have Free Will to make our own choices.  I think that there are times when we are guided, but predetermined?  I dunno.

Do you believe in fate?  Do you think our lives are all planned out?  Predestined???

  1. I personally think that God has a plan for your lives. And no matter what road we decide to take (left or right) we will end up right where He wants us to be.

  2. I don’t believe in pre-destiny. Pre-destiny is the same as saying life is pointless. After all, under that paradigm, we’re bound and gagged and on a train we can’t get off of.

I do, however, believe that we are sometimes presented with opportunities. Possessing free will, we can make of those opportunities what we can or will. The same with hardships. They are presented to us, but we choose whether they will make us stronger or if they will grind us down.

But, at the end of the day, none of us really know what’s going on behind the curtain. 🙂
