Ok, I’ve had a little backlash over a post I did on Internet Dating.  You can find it HERE.    Geeeze!  You just can’t say anything anymore without someone getting their panties in a bunch!  I KNOW that women are just as bad as men are out there.  I even state that in the first paragraph of the post.  If it looks like I took a female point of view on this, well damn!  I’M FEMALE!

I tried to make this post light-hearted and humorous.  If something like this gets you all shook up, you’ve got bigger problems than just finding a date!

If you leave me nasty comments, you are wasting your time because they will not be seen.  They will be swiftly deleted!

  2. I’m speechless. That rarely happens. I can’t believe that anyone would rant like that in response to your post. You were funny and truthful. Most importantly, you were expressing YOUR experiences. It was a subjective post. Arrgggh! Ok, I guess I wasn’t as speechless as I thought I was! 😉

  3. Nasty comments, unless they are someone’s way of “edifying” a blogger, don’t belong. Even if the goal is ending perceived ignorance, there are usually better ways. You are right to block and delete.

  4. While my experience of internet dating was different to yours, I could see why you had the experiences of it you had. No one should have gotten offended over it. You wrote a plain and honest account of an experience that you didn’t enjoy and clearly explained why you wouldn’t do it again.

  6. Kudos to you for writing the dating post and then this post. This is your blog. You own it. Not those who would leave nasty comments. I take the same approach to comments that are hateful, hurtful, insensitive, mean, unkind… they will be promptly deleted.

      1. You made the right choice to delete the comment. You do not want to give voice to whatever horrible words this person wrote. That gives he/she power. Continue to moderate and maintain control of YOUR blog.

  7. I just read that post Penny – excellent! As to the insensitivities of today’s digital footprint – well l think that is scarier than online dating, and that is saying something. But to this post ‘woot woot’ way to go 🙂
