I seem to be stalled in my writing. Not that I write anything necessarily profound, but I have felt that my posts as of late, have been lacking, uninspired, blah. Nothing seems to spark me. The weekly prompts I participate in, the daily prompts, nothing seems to grab me.
With this in mind, I’ve decided to do one of those “Post-A-Day” things.
This has worked for me in the past and I guess it’s time to do it again. I think that most people find it to be true that the longer you are away from writing the less inspired you are to write. For me, if I push myself to write every day, even if it’s crap, eventually the juices start flowing and I’m back in the pink again.
So here’s your warning: For the next 30 days, I am going to post Something everyday. I say that this is a warning because the last time that I did this, believe me, those 30-some posts were NOT my best work.
For those of you that follow my blog on a regular basis, I apologize. What you are about to see here will most likely be a whole lot of junk, crap, shinola and garbage.
I hope that this exercise will put me back in good writing form. Wish me luck my dear friends and I thank you in advance for your patience.

The more you write, the better your writing becomes. I, for one, have not found your writing to be crap.

Honey, you can’t have wheat without chaff. It will be fascinating to see your work ‘in the raw’ as it were. Keep writing and you’ll regain your spark!

I’ll be the voice of contrast here and suggest that if pushing yourself to write everyday doesn’t get you out of your funk, consider taking a week, fortnight or month off writing altogether. I took about 5 months off (albeit unintentionally) but it helped me get my mojo back.

I know myself too well. If I let it slide, it will just keep sliding and before you know it, I won’t be writing at all. No, I need the routine. Thank you Jess! Hugs!

In my humble opinion much of what I see posted is so darn serious and not entertaining. I look forward to reading your junk, crap, shinola and garbage. Perhaps we all need to lighten up and write some junk and crap and have fun with it. ☺💜

I find writing an exciting process but there are days when my mind has nothing to offer so I don’t write for fear of aggravating my own distaste over what I might compose. But if you find your creative juices begin flowing then go for it…..sometimes I think we have to stretch our imaginations and write something outlandish just to free up our imaginations. Then again you could say I do that far too regularly…. 🙂
Good luck with it all, and I hope you begin to feel good about what you are writing.
