When I first came to WordPress, I really had no idea or direction for the way I wanted my blog to go. Well, here it is, years later and I still have no direction. Hee hee!! But that’s alright. I’m comfortable with how things are going and what I’m doing here.
So that brings up the question “What the hell am I doing here?” The answer is a very simple one. I’m doing whatever I feel like doing.
Quite a few of the blogs I’ve seen here are a journal of people’s lives. Others are creative expressions in photography or poetry. Still others express themselves by writing stories. Some blogs are instructional. There are those that are here to voice their political or religious viewpoint. Some blogs are even more diverse and complex.
My blog is a mixture of a lot of things. This is a space for me to express myself. It’s where I can be creative. I can pour my heart out, or reminisce about the past. I can relive past loves or past lives.
I’m surprised at how important WordPress and my blog has become to me. The time that I spend here is an outlet like no other in my life and I am grateful to have it. WordPress is filled with such a wonderful community of supportive people. The people here, for the most part, truly care about each other.
Ok, ok, I’m done gushing. 🙂

Your post struck a chord that resonates with so many of us. We write because we can’t not write. Just because we may not know what we want to write about on any given day, doesn’t dampen our desire to write any!
Merry Christmas!

“…a wonderful community of supportive people…” I agree 100 percent. Some of the friendships I have formed through blogging have morphed into real life “in person” friendships.
I blog because I am passionate about writing and photography.

Feel the same way. I started blogging several months ago because my already meager writing skills were atrophying. Didn’t know what I wanted to blog about (still don’t), but find it a creative outlet for me that I enjoy. Kicking myself for taking so long to find it, but glad I finally did.

I know what you mean! I didn’t take my writing seriously until a few years ago although I’ve been writing all my life!
Thanks for stopping by!

My blog is like that too, Penny. I write stories and poetry and bake and do fondant art – pretty much whatever strikes my fancy. I also love the blogosphere – a wonderful group of like minded people.
