Not Another Tear

** This is a work of fiction.

I’ve given all I have

You’ve taken everything from me

Do you need to have my soul

Or will you set me free

Leave my self-respect

It’s still somewhere deep inside

Let me walk away from you

While I still have some pride

I won’t give in to you

You won’t hurt me anymore

No longer blind to your charms

I pick myself off the floor

I’m stronger now, because of you

I face the future with no fear

I turn my back on all your lies

I won’t shed another tear
