Is it Envy?

I was wandering around WordPress, looking in on some of my favorite bloggers. This prompted me to attempt a bit of poetry today.  Well, what came out of that, stunk, quite frankly.

This lame attempt got me to thinking about how I felt about the other Amazing talent I see here every day.  I thought “I Envy these talented people”.

This made me think about the word “envy”.  This is how the dictionary defines the word Envy: a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another’s advantages, success, possessions, etc.

I thought, “Do I Covet?  Am I Discontent?”  No, I don’t think I’m Discontent.

The dictionary defines Covet like this: to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others

I don’t think this describes me at all.

So, ok.  If I don’t Envy and I don’t Covet, does that mean I’m Jealous?  The dictionary defines Jealous as: feeling resentment against someone because of that person’s rivalry, success, or advantages

No.  I’m not resentful.

So that leaves Admire.  I admire these people and their talents!  The dictionary defines Admire as: to regard with wonder, pleasure, or approval

If you are not familiar with the people below, you are really missing out.  Please do yourself a favor and experience their work! These are just a FEW of the people and their blogs that I admire! I focus on these because of the poetry that originally prompted this train of thought.

So, for your Wonder, Pleasure and Approval please visit:

Walt, because of the Love!  You can feel the love in this man’s poetry.  He MUST to be Sooo in love!

Paul, because of his poignant, incredibly visual, thought provoking words.  The ebb & flow of this man’s verse will leave you in Awe.

Linda, is always a surprise!  I never know if her work will make me weep or cheer but it is Always a delight!

Ok, Ok, I’m done gushing.

Are there bloggers here that you ADMIRE and want to share their work?  If so, leave a comment.  Let’s share the joy!  🙂

    • Thank you Matt. I appreciate that. But there are SOME things that just should not see the light of day. 🙂 Kidding! Actually, I’ve plucked away at the piece I started earlier and reworked it. I’m planning on posting it tomorrow. Good, bad, ugly, or not, you’ll see it then. Thank you, as always, for your support Matt. ❤
