Write, Write, Write

They say the more you write the better you get at it.  So for the month of May, I am going to do my damnedest to post something every day.   Warning!  What you may read over the course of the next month may be some real crap.  But I guess that’s the risk you take.  Hee Hee!

I want to catch you up on my No Spending for the month of April.  Looking back through my check register, I see that I blew about $70.00 that I didn’t NEED to spend.  I consider that a victory!

I’ve been paying off a credit card that was over $11,000.  In April, I was able to make a hefty payment on it, bringing the balance on that card down to less than $4000.00 !!  It’s taken me about a year to get the card where it is, but I’m pretty proud of myself for sticking to it.  It won’t be long and I will be completely Debt Free!

I am also trying to save, increase my 401k, savings, etc.  So paying off debt AND saving has been a bit of a challenge.  But, I’m doing it.

Until tomorrow!

Very cool to pay off so much of your credit card in the last year. Keep keeping a budget – it helped me control my spending (I use a simple spreadsheet that I made).

Looking forward to reading it all. A poem a day sure is quite the challenge but sometimes the brain works brilliantly under pressure. Happy writing. 🙂

Bravo to you Penny on your financial achievement thus far.

That was a hefty chunk of debt to whittle off the total amount.

It is a good idea ( financially speaking) to increase your 401K.

Especially the way the economy is going you need the extra financial protection to keep the wolves away from your door.

They will huff and puff and make Trump look like a timid house cat.

Writing is an exercise and you are correct. Flex your creative muscles everyday.

It can’t hurt and might help you write more. Today four paragraphs and tomorrow maybe five.

SInce the weather is theoretically becoming more springish why not carry a digital camera around with you and on your outings take photos of things that interest you?

There may be a Word Press challenge that coud use your on the scene photo.

Other than that stay optimistic about yourself and keep on truckin. 🙂
