How did we let it go?

It was in the palm of our hands.

But it slipped through our fingers like shadows.

I open my eyes to pull you to me.

You disappear into the shadows.

How did we let it go?

    Sometimes the shifting sands of time in an hour glass more correctly explains out attempts to hold onto something or someone of immeasueble valuable to ourselves.

    While sand can be cupped properly in the paln of the hand the fingers are wiggly and those precious interludes of reality slip by us. πŸ™‚
