IT’S ALIVE!!

scream-queen

My novel has taken on a life of it’s own!  I’ve heard other writers talk about this and I’ve touched on it in the past too.  I’m really having a good time with this book.  But I am just amazed at the twists and turns it is taking!

I didn’t plot out every thing.  In fact I didn’t plot out anything before I started writing.  I had a good idea for a plot, the main points along the way of the story, the characters, and how I want it to end.   That’s it!

This thing has grown legs and is now running along in front of me!  It’s up to me to keep up with it!  It’s shaping up to be even better than I first imagined!

My word count to date is 8124.  I’m averaging about 1624 words a day.  Still just a little shy of my 1900 word goal.  But over all, I still feel very good about it.

I hope all of you are having as good a time as I am.  Happy Friday and Happy Writing!

Great! Yeah, sometimes it’s that way. I recently wrote and posted as I was writing a book, The Halley Branch. It was supposed to be a short story and just kept growing! It quickly took a life of its own and I was soon covering topics I had never even really even thought about before. So yes, books do that! Have fun – that’s what it’s all about!
